Table Mountain Valentine's specials

2013-02-08 15:12
Cape Town - With long summer days giving us a few more precious hours to enjoy the Cape's fine weather, it is the perfect time to celebrate Valentine's Day on top of one of the New 7 Wonders of Nature.

From Monday 11 February to Sunday 17 February, Table Mountain Cableway is offering couples a special Valentine's promotion for those who want to savour delicious food whilst overlooking the magnificent views of the Mother City.

The Table Mountain Café will offer a Valentine's menu for R150 per person, which includes a starter, main and dessert, as well as a glass of La Capra Sauvignon Blanc or Pinotage, or Goats do Roam Rosé.

If you would like something a bit lighter to snack on, the Café is also offering lovebirds a sparkling wine and cheese promotion. Enjoy two glasses of KWV Sparking Wine and a Fairview Cheese Board for R99.

Displays in The Shop at the Top will be geared for Valentine's Day, with love-themed retail items on sale for those wanting to spoil their Valentine even more.

The Sunset Special is also on until the end of February, so visitors can still take advantage of a half price ride 1037 metres above sea level. Adults can purchase tickets for R102.50 and children just R50 from 6pm daily from the Cableway's ticket office.

The last car down the mountain for the Sunset Special is at 8.30pm.

The Cableway operates weather permitting. For information call (021) 424 8181 or visit the Table Mountain website
