Cape Town - It’s all systems go for the inaugural World Travel Market (WTM) Africa, taking place at the Cape Town International Convention Centre (CTICC) from 2nd – 3rd May 2014.

The leading B2B exhibition for Africa’s travel industry kicks off on Friday with over 350 exhibiting companies ready to bring the world to Africa and promote Africa to the world’s leading source markets.

According to Sugen Pillay, Business Development Director Thebe Reed Exhibitions, WTM Africa is open to travel and tourism exhibitors promoting their product to receive visitors into Africa or catering to those wanting to travel out of Africa.

"Whilst WTM Africa does have a Hosted Buyer Programme that will see as many as 300 carefully selected travel buyers from Africa and beyond to match up with the WTM Africa exhibitors, all travel professionals are welcome to visit for the two days.  Alongside the opportunity to meet with prestigious exhibitors all visitors are encouraged to join in the sessions available in the inspirational and topical event programme running over the two days of the event.

"Topics such as responsible tourism, travel bloggers, travel technology and interesting African travel statistics, to name a few will be available to all.

We are expecting the travel industry here in Africa to turn out in their numbers to take advantage of every opportunity there is to advance their knowledge, right here in South Africa."

Exhibition Manager Polly Magraw said, “The Thebe Reed Exhibitions and Reed Travel Exhibitions teams have collaborated well and this has delivered a smoothly organised coordinated team effort to turn this beautiful exhibition venue into a worthy home for the inaugural WTM Africa event.”
Catering for both inbound and outbound markets, WTM Africa is open to all those involved in the travel industry to attend on 2 and 3 May 2014 at the Cape Town International convention Centre.
