Summer: Unique night bus tour re-opens

Cape Town - The Cape Town City Sightseeing Night Tour - the only one of its kind in South Africa-  is set to re-open from 20 September 2012 until 06 May 2013. The Night Tour starts at the V&A Waterfront (Stop 1), with the bus departing at 18h00 until 14 March, when it will then begin departing a bit earlier at 17h30 (until 06 May).  Taking you past all the best night attractions, the bus stops at Signal Hill to watch the sun set over the Atlantic Ocean – so remember to bring along a picnic basket with snacks and sundowners.

Details of the Night Tour at a glance:

From 20 September until 14 March the bus departs from the Two Oceans Aquarium at the V&A Waterfront at 18h00.
From 15 March to 06 May the bus departs from the Two Oceans Aquarium at the V&A Waterfront at 17h30.
Total length of time of the entire tour is three hours.
It is not a hop-on, hop-off tour.
Tour ends back at our Tour Office, outside the Two Oceans Aquarium at the V&A Waterfront.
Bring warm clothes just in case.

City Sightseeing Cape Town, the first carbon neutral bus company in South Africa, now offer a choice of three exciting tours on their world famous open-top bus – the one day Red City Tour and the 1-Day Blue Mini Peninsula tour, which includes a free Wine Tour of Constantia Valley, as well as the newly launched Night Tour.  Anyone who buys a 2-Day ticket, combining the Red and Blue Tours will also receive a free ticket for the Night Tour as well.

Also on offer is the City Sightseeing Canal Cruise which offers the chance to experience the V & A Waterfront from a completely different angle whilst enjoying this nautical adventure for only R30 (the Canal Cruise is also included free with a 2-Day ticket).

The City Sightseeing Tour Office is located outside the Two Oceans Aquarium at the V&A Waterfront and can be contacted on +27 (21) 511 6000.  Buses operate daily from 09h00 with commentary available in 16 different languages, and includes a fun Kids Channel.

Tickets for the Night Tour cost R100 or it is free with a 2-Day ticket. Buy the Night Tour online at www.citysightseeing.co.za for R90 for a R10 saving.  Ticket options for the Red City Tour and Blue Mini Peninsula Tours include a 2-Day valid ticket for R220 (if purchased online, otherwise R250 from the Tour Office) or the 1-Day valid ticket for R120 (if purchased online, otherwise R150 from the Tour Office).
