11 Surprisingly Loveable Airlines

It's the small things that matter when one travels on a budget.

There's been some talk among frequent travellers about treating overweight passengers in the same way airlines treat overweight luggage - strictly and with excess costs.

However, it seems like just the opposite is about to happen, as Airbus is offering its clients the option of super-sized seats for large people on its A320 aircraft, Business Day reports.

"We are offering the possibility of a 20-inch (50cm) seat for larger people," said Zuzana Hrukara, Airbus's Head of Aircraft Interiors Marketing.

According to a report on Tourism Update, she went on to say that the demand is largely driven by the US market and that different airlines can choose whether they want to include the feature or not.

South African Airways has confirmed it is considering adding the larger seating option to its A320 wide-body fleet.
