The government backing of the Renewable Energy Independent Power Producer Procurement Programme (REIPPPP), reaffirmed by President Jacob Zuma in his State of the Nation address last week, will enable the continuation of the renewable energy programme that aims to provide 17 800 MW of renewable energy to South Africa by 2030.
