More than 135 people have died in a chain of avalanches around Afghanistan.
Triggered by heavy rains and snow, dozens of people have been killed and some believed to be still trapped under the snow.
"Avalanches have buried two entire villages in Bargmatal district, 50 bodies were recovered from one village while rescuers are trying to reach the other village," said Ministry of Natural Disaster spokesperson Mohammad Omar Mohammadi on Sunday.
Over 200 homes have been damaged and one village completely buried.
Officials warned that the death numbers could rise as rescue teams are still on the lookout.
