Bombs greet New Year in Iraq

Baghdad - At least 11 people were wounded in a series of eight bomb attacks in Baghdad Sunday, according to defence ministry and hospital officials.
Two policemen were wounded by a roadside bomb in the south of the city.
Five civilians were wounded by a car bomb, believed to have been driven by a suicide bomber, hospital officials said.
Six parked car bombs also blew up in different parts of the city, wounding at least four peope.
The body of an unidentified man, whose hands were bound and who had been shot to death, was also found by police south of the capital.
