More 'proof' of abuse in Iraq

Washington - Iraqi officials found evidence of prisoner abuse at a Baghdad detention centre run by the interior ministry, the second case in recent weeks, a newspaper reported on Monday.
Thirteen prisoners showed signs of abuse serious enough to require medical treatment, the Washington Post quoted US and Iraqi officials as saying.
One unnamed Iraqi official said at least 12 of the 13 had been tortured, including electric shocks and treatment that left them with broken bones, the report said.
Government spokesperson Laith Kubba told the paper any findings at the prison would be investigated, but refused to comment on the allegations.
US troops found the first site last month at an interior ministry building in central Baghdad.
Several prisoners there appeared to have been beaten and many were emaciated, according to reports at the time. - Sapa-dpa
