London - British police have carried out arrests in West Yorkshire, northern England, in connection with Thursday's bombings in London, Sky News television reported Tuesday.

It said that "a number of arrests" had been made in relation to the explosions on three subway trains and a bush which killed at least 52 people and left hundreds wounded.

Police spokesperson contacted by AFP were unable to confirm the report.
