12 divers missing in Red Sea

Cairo - Twelve European tourists have gone missing during a diving cruise off Quseir on the Red Sea, Egypt's state news agency MENA reported on Sunday.

The five Britons, five Portuguese and two Belgians were taking part in a dive near an island, while 10 other tourists on the cruise remained on the boat, the agency said.

An Egyptian army helicopter and several boats have been mobilized for a search operation. - Sapa-AFP
