3 000 remember Moscow bombing victims
Moscow - About 3 000 people gathered in central Moscow on Thursday to remember the victims of an airport bombing that killed 35 people and renewed security concerns throughout Russia, news reports said.
Leaders of the pro-Kremlin youth group that organises government-sanctioned rallies said the Pushkin Square event was not called with any specific political goals in mind.
The Pushkin Square gathering saw people light candles and toll the bell 35 times to commemorate each of the victims of Monday's Domodedovo airport bombing.
Unofficial reports have linked the attack to militants from the mainly Muslim Northern Caucasus and media have published a photograph said to be of one of the main suspects.
