$5.4m stolen from Milan bank
Milan - Milan police say a pair of armed bank robbers dressed as guards has made off with $5.4m in cash from a bank in the heart of Italy's financial capital.
Police said on Monday that the two robbers were dressed like guards making a regular pick-up. The cash was ready for transport when they arrived, and the pair wielded a pistol to force the tellers into a bathroom and make off with the money, in both dollars and euros.
The tellers were able to free themselves about 10 minutes after the robbery, and summoned police. No one was injured and police are searching for the robbers.
