Abused dog kills owner

2011-06-12 09:22

Bangkok - A golden retriever mauled its Thai master to death after allegedly enduring years of abuse, media reports said on Sunday.

Mana Tesrit, 51, died in hospital on Saturday after being savaged by his three-year-old dog at his home in Sattahip district of Chonburi province, 120 kilometres east of Bangkok, The Nation newspaper reported.

Mana's wife Sompong Rodkhlam told police that the dog, named Peter, may have attacked her husband because he had kicked and abused it since it was a puppy.

Sompong was out of the house at the time of the attack, which was witnessed by neighbours.

    Give that dog a bells!

  • Bokke2007 - 2011-06-12 09:45

Good doggy!!!!!! May this be a lesson to all the bastards out there who abuse animals.

  • Duncan Druck - 2011-06-12 09:50

    Love it!!!

  • USSA - 2011-06-12 09:52

"GIVE THAT DOG A BONE!!!!!" Well done Peter!

  • gizzy - 2011-06-12 09:54

For a Golden Retriever to do such a thing, it must have been severe abuse. They are the most placid dogs ever. My little pug bosses mine around all the time. You reap what you sow. No dog is born vicious. They are made that way by humans.

      pugwash - 2011-06-12 10:16

      Pugs rule ! :)

      Ozymandios - 2011-06-12 10:59

Give that pooch the biggest bone you can find and a lifetime of best mince meat and tripe for dinner everyday.

  • gwskywatcher - 2011-06-12 09:54

Score:- Dog 1; As*ole 0 Give the dog the equivalent of a Bells!

  • Janine - 2011-06-12 09:55

Golden retrievers are not, by nature, aggressive. For one to have done this it must have really suffered severe abuse. I'm guessing that the poor dog got put down too. How sad.

  • katrinaright - 2011-06-12 09:57

Wish more dogs could be this lucky! Hope the dog is ok. Usually they just love you & are totally loyal to you -irrespective of all the abuse they endure. And when you're good to them - how many dogs have waited by their dead masters loyally-sometimes dying themselves in their wait.... Why have an animal if this is the way you treat it?

      Jayden - 2011-06-12 10:15

They can teach us what "unconditional love" is all about. We long for an affection altogether ignorant of our faults. Heaven has accorded this to us in the uncritical canine attachment. ~George Eliot

  • Obama Bin Laden - 2011-06-12 10:03

    Give that dog a bells!

  • Deckard - 2011-06-12 10:06

The only sad part of this story is that the dog will probably now be put down or become supper. I have no sympathy for animal abusers.

  • onetickie - 2011-06-12 10:20

And thats "karma" at its best! No sympathy for the owner, he dug his own hole but bet they'll put the poor dog down.

  • Shrek - 2011-06-12 10:28

Its kind of ironic when you food kills you

  • Lee - 2011-06-12 10:41

I hope that doggie will get some respect now

  • 420 - 2011-06-12 10:45

Have had 3 golden retrievers, the most passive, chilled dogs you get. This scum bag deserved what he got. Gotta love that vicious little circle.

  • frangelico - 2011-06-12 10:46

Peter you are my hero.Mana deserved what he got.

  • Airwolf - 2011-06-12 10:54

Pity the owner wasn't Malema ..

      motsokwane - 2011-06-12 10:59

No wolf, Malema is a dog himself, ask the farmers.

      Zoooma - 2011-06-12 19:48

@motsokwane you know what they say about dogs like Malema, he will get his day

  • Morgainne - 2011-06-12 11:04

Peter, bless your soul my canine friend <3 It saddens me that he will probably be put down for this, but I'd much rather see him in a happpier place then this cruel world. I don't tolerate animal abusers, they are nothing in my eyes. Good riddance I say !

  • Goldiluck - 2011-06-12 11:36

Good boy, Peter, good boy. Hope you get a bone. I have 2 Goldies and they are the sweetest, kindest dogs by nature. I hope the a$$hole rots in hell!

  • di - 2011-06-12 11:47

    Good onya doggy!

  • Krolie - 2011-06-12 12:00

I am sorry if I offend anyone, but this &%*^% GOT HIS JUST DESERTS!!! To abuse, or have the compunction to abuse an animal is unforgivable. It also means that this animal abuser can just as easily abuse a child! From there it will just escalate. I will not be surprised to hear that he abused children as well. Good riddance! Hoping (against all odds) that an animal welfare group has taken control to give Peter hope of a better life, and that the powers that be realise that it was not the dog's fault, and that he deserved at least a second chance.

      Zoooma - 2011-06-12 19:51

I just hope that the dog is not so psychologically damaged that it would harm other innocent people

  • To The Point - 2011-06-12 12:40

WONDERFUL glad the dog killed the monster - I guess the sad part is that the so-called “intelligent” humans who were not attacked killed the dog for defending itself. People who abuse helpless animals are the cowards amongst us who eventually kill/abuse Children and old people who cannot fend for themselves. The cowardly societies we have become choose to ignore abuse of animals, until this sort of thing happens – then blame it on the animal. Man is not always good because the good allow the bad to survive as we are told it is the "humane" thing to do.

  • baasdingane - 2011-06-12 13:02

Go dog! I suspect it was a case of eat or be eaten.

  • Jeffrey Jones - 2011-06-12 13:30

I hope the bastard suffered severe pain before he died in hospital. I hate animal abusers with a loathing.

  • Rita - 2011-06-12 13:42

Give the dog a MEDAL justice has been done

  • Marcxt500 - 2011-06-12 13:57

    Finally... a good feel story!

  • Judith - 2011-06-12 13:58

Stunned - Golden Retrievers are so gentle, so the abuse must have been mega!

  • danie.pretorius - 2011-06-12 17:00

    Awesome Dogg

  • Stubbs - 2011-06-12 17:10

Well done pup! I hope you don't suffer just because you fought your abuser and won. Goldies are one of the most gentle breeds of dogs, and for one to turn, the abuse must have been horrendous. Good riddance to human rubbish.

  • pawsaw - 2011-06-12 17:24

    Well done to the dog!

  • zule - 2011-06-12 17:56

People and their dogs...what a strange thing it is that people have this inordinate love for a dog/s...and then others like this idiot who spent his dumb life abusing an animal...eeeeessshhhh

  • Frans Smith - 2011-06-12 18:13

this article made my day. i hope the bastard suffered.

  • Heks - 2011-06-12 19:57

  • marylyn.hili - 2011-06-12 21:55

  • Danielle - 2011-06-13 09:32

Well done to the dog! He should get a medal or something. That guy got exactly what he deserved. I wish that could happen to all people who abuse their animals!!!

  • tracey.badenhorst - 2011-06-13 10:24
