Assad blamed for Beirut blast

2012-10-19 22:13

Beirut - Two of Lebanon's top anti-Damascus political leaders accused Syrian President Bashar al-Assad of assassinating a top Lebanese security official in a car bomb attack on Friday in Beirut.

"We accuse Bashar Assad of the assassination of Wissam al-Hassam, the guarantor of the security of the Lebanese," former prime minister and opposition chief Saad Hariri told a Lebanese TV station.

Druze leader Walid Jumblatt, a longtime critic of Damascus, said: "I openly accuse Bashar Assad and his regime of killing Wissam al-Hassan."

Wasn't Syria recently nominated for a position on the UN Human Rights Commission? What an absolute joke! Now guys pay attention - when Israel gets continuously lambasted by the UN (and essentially censured for protecting her citizens), remember what a pathetic farce the UN is. How many of his own people has Bashar al Assad mutdered now? Maybe the same amount as his daddy. I wonder how many combatants (including the ones who take their uniforms off and hide amongst women and children) Israel has killed in all the wars that have been thrust upon it. I have no doubt it will be significantly less than the number of Syrians killed by the Assads. These people (Arab dictators) glorify death. It will be great when the world finds an alternative source of energy and we don't have to tolerate these people anymore.
