Cape Town – It has emerged that one of the Boston bombers, Tamerlan Tsarnaev, was in possession of right-wing extremist literature in the run-up to the terror attack, say reports.

The Daily Mail reported that Tamerlan possessed white supremacist literature, and material on mass killings and how victims were murdered.

“Tamerlan Tsarnaev read extreme right-wing literature that claimed ‘Hitler had a point’ and articles about the ‘rape of our gun rights,’” a BBC investigation found.

Also in the 26-year-old’s possession was material that claimed that the 9/11 attacks and the 1995 Oklahoma City bombing were government conspiracies.

Tamerlan and his brother, both Chechens, allegedly carried out the bombing at the Boston marathon’s finish line on April 15 which killed three people and injured more than 260.

Until recently it has been understood that the pair carried out the attacks due to their radical jihadist beliefs.
