Genevba - A bus and a car were buried by a landslide in eastern Switzerland's Graubunden, at a location close to the Austrian and Italian border, Swiss newswire ATS reported on Friday.

A large team of rescuers and several helicopters have been deployed to the scene on the main road linking the towns of Martina and Vinadi, said the agency.

According to local newspaper Sudostschweiz, the driver of the bus was killed in the accident.

The bus was not carrying any passengers at the time of the accident, as it was on the way to pick up passengers from Italy's Livigno, said Radio Grischa, quoting local police.
