Couple in trouble after nude McDonald's run

2011-12-30 22:05

Illinois - Two people who pulled up at a McDonald's drive-thru in western Illinois completely naked face public indecency charges.

Police in Galesburg say a 19-year-old El Paso man and a 21-year-old Galesburg woman have been released from Knox County Jail after being ordered to appear in court to face the charges.

WGIL Radio reports that the duo was still in the McDonald's parking lot when officers arrived just before 02:00 on Wednesday.

Police say the man was crouched over in the driver's seat trying to pull on a pair of pants while his passenger was covering up in a blanket.

WGIL reports that the pair told officers the late night fast-food run might not have been a great idea but that they both still thought it was funny.

    Nothing wrong with nudity.

      Mike - 2011-12-30 23:09

True, but exposing yourself to someone without that person's consent is illegal and quite rightly so.

Spotty, are you sorry you didn't get a glimpse of the naked man?

  • Koosie - 2011-12-31 02:31

      Ask Zuma.

      Kim - 2011-12-31 12:31

What has self respect go to do with it? Self respect means liking your body unlike the average person in the street that is taught from birth to be ashamed of their bodies and hide them!!!

      Warren - 2011-12-31 14:43

@ Rali: Go ask the usual crowd that thinks the world is their toilet. (More often than not found urinating in the main street of your city/town... facing traffic).

  • acsteyn - 2011-12-31 11:43

McDonalds is really being "exposed" this week. First in the nude and then turning a blind eye? Thank goodness they don't well weeners. Imagine messing a blob of mustard by accident!

  • Assis - 2011-12-31 12:17

I'm loving it... I think the confusion is that it's drive through and not a drive see right through.

  • Kim - 2011-12-31 12:29

At 02:00 in the morning what is everyone making such a fuss about? If they are sitting in the car covering up then the only people who saw anything were the people who made a point of looking!!!! Why does everyone have such an issue with nudity considering we were born naked?

      Squeegee - 2011-12-31 15:23

Kim, do you do your shopping naked? Where?

      Grant - 2011-12-31 16:08

"we were born naked" Speak for yourself!

      Kim - 2011-12-31 18:09

@Squeegee they were in the car buying take out. They were not walking around. This reminds me of the little old lady who kept complaining about the naked people on Sandy Bay. When the cops came to check it out, she was standing on her balcony with a telescope!!!

At the end, it's about protecting kids from such.... If kids are in bed. Perfectly okay.
