Croatian breast pillow 'not sexy'
Zagreb – A Croat home furnishings company says the design of its new product, soft woolly pillows shaped like big women's breasts, should not put off potential buyers.
The wool-stuffed D-cup pillows called "Dude", or "Tits" in Croatian, are designed not with sex in mind but for their healthy, anatomical shape, the Globus company says on its website.
But curious shoppers are proving too prudish to buy them, the pillow designer Goran Tonkicwas was quoted as saying by the Vecernji List daily newspaper.
"The interest for the pillow is big," he said. "But potential buyers are mostly only having a look for the time being. Many are afraid to put it on a sofa in the living room," its designer told the daily.
"I don't see where is the problem since its shape is anatomical, provides a good sleep and has nothing to do with sex," said Tonkicwas, who has taken out a patent to defend his creation from copycats.
The company, based in the eastern town of Slavonski Brod and specialised in the production of furniture, is looking for big sales overseas and intends to market the product in the European Union.
