Cyclists killed in car accident

London - A car ploughed into a group of 12 cyclists in North Wales on Sunday, killing four and leaving four others seriously injured, police said.

The deceased, pronounced dead at the scene, were three men and a boy, North Wales Police said.

Four of the other cyclists were "seriously hurt", but their injuries were not life threatening, police added.

The accident, involving a Toyota Corolla, occurred at about 10:00 on the Ludland Road near Abergele in North Wales.

The eight injured were taken to a local hospital.
