Danish man jailed for abusing 10 kids

2011-11-21 15:37
Copenhagen - A Danish court has sentenced a 41-year-old man to seven years in prison for 24 cases of sexually abusing young children during a 19-year period.

The city court in Esbjerg, western Denmark, said on Monday the man used his "physical and psychological superiority" and violence to molest 10 children aged 6 to 8 between 1991 and 2010.

The victims were nine girls, including his daughter, and one boy.

The court said the man did not have intercourse with the children.

The defendant, who had pleaded innocent during the trial, had not immediately decided whether to appeal.
