US defence bill repeals ban on sodomy

2011-12-09 09:08

Washington - Recently passed Senate legislation would make sodomy and sex with animals legal under military law, ending long-standing prohibitions and triggering cries of perversion from conservative groups.

The bill, which the Senate passed 93 - 7 last week, would repeal Article 125 of the Uniform Code of Military Justice, which states that any person who engages in "unnatural carnal copulation with another person of the same or opposite sex or with an animal is guilty of sodomy".

Those found guilty of sodomy would be subject to court-martial.

Senate Armed Services Committee chair Carl Levin, a Democrat, said on Thursday that the repeal was simply a legal change because it is no longer constitutional. A 2003 Supreme Court decision struck down a Texas ban on sodomy as an unconstitutional intrusion on privacy.

The committee said the changes in law were recommended by the Joint Services Committee on Military Justice and the secretary of defence.

Anger

Senate negotiators are working to reconcile their version of the bill with the version passed by the House of Representatives and produce final legislation that would set policy for the Pentagon. Levin indicated that there are some differences with House lawmakers over the provision.

Conservative groups angered by the end this year of the ban on gays serving openly in the military were outraged by the proposed repeal of the sodomy provision.

"Now, in its rush to accommodate the left, Congress may have inadvertently opened the door to even more perversion," Tony Perkins of the Family Research Council said in a statement.

"As part of the defence authorisation bill, liberals are pushing to make sodomy a legal activity under the Uniform Code of Military Justice. In its haste to make gay sex an official part of military life, the left could be unintentionally repealing the ban on bestiality too."

Legalizing sex with animals really puts mankind on a lower level. As a straight person I even find sodomy: man to man and man to woman as perverted. The human or animal body was never designed for that purpose. If it comes to the push, no pun intended, then at least leave the animals out of the equation. The greatest nation and democracy, as they refer to themselves, are fast approaching the depths of the gutter.

Beastiality = NOT okay... There is no way that beastiality is okay. Unless you can get the animal to sign a consent form before you mount it.

A new Army Captain was assigned to an outfit in a remote post in the Afghan Desert . During his first inspection of the outfit, he noticed a camel hitched up behind the mess tent. He asked the Sergeant why the camel was kept there. The nervous Sergeant said, "Sir, as you know, there are 250 men here on the post and no women. Sometimes the men have urges. That's why we have Molly The Camel." The Captain said, "I can't say that I condone this, but I can understand about the 'urges', so the camel can stay." About a month later, the Captain starts having his own 'urges'. Crazed with passion, he asked the Sergeant to bring the camel to his tent. Putting a ladder behind the camel, the Captain stands on the ladder, pulls his pants down and has wild and insane sex with the camel. When he's done, he asked the Sergeant, "Is that how the men do it?" "No sir. They usually just ride the camel into town. That's where the girls are."

I COULD NOT BELIEVE MY EYES WHEN I READ THIS. AMERICA IS FAST FALLING INTO A MOST REPULSIVE STATE, ALMOST AS BAD AS OUR OWN, ALTHOUGH BESTIALITY, I HOPE, IS STILL FROWNED UPON BY SOME HERE IN THE RSA, BUT SODOMY HAS BEEN COMMON PRACTICE IN MINING COMPOUNDS FOR AGES, AND RECENTLY ALSO SEEM TO BE THE ONLY EXCERCISE SOLDIERS GET. BUT THEN, THIS IS AFRICA. SOME LOOKED TO AMERICA FOR GUIDANCE REGARDING CERTAIN EXTREMELY IMMORAL PRACTICES, BUT NOW, FORTUNATELY, BELIEVERS SHALL HAVE TO CAST OUR EYES TO THE MOUNT ZION, WHICH IS WHAT THE STATUS QUO SHOULD HAVE BEEN ALL ALONG. NON-BELIEVERS, ATHEISTS AND AGNOSTICS WOULD EITHER NOT BE ALARMED AT THE RAPID DECLINE IN AMERICAN SOCIAL AND BIBLICAL MORALS, BUT IF THEY DO, JOIN US IN CONDEMNING THIS IN YOUR OWN WAY.
