Egypt: Iran not a danger
Cairo - Egyptian President Hosni Mubarak's spokesperson says Egypt sees Mideast peace as the region's top priority and not Iran's nuclear programme.
Israel has said Iran's nuclear ambition is the region's most pressing issue.
Suleiman Awwad's remarks come only few days before President Barack Obama travels to the Middle East to address regional conflicts including Arab-Israeli peace and Iran.
Awwad said on Sunday that Egypt was pushing for a two-state solution for the Arab-Israeli conflict.
Israeli officials suggested in recent weeks that Iran's nuclear ambitions should take precedence over the peace process.
