Germany mulls ban on prophet film

2012-09-17 15:02

Berlin - German Chancellor Angela Merkel says authorities are considering whether to ban the public screening of a film about Islam's Prophet Muhammad that has caused violent fury among Muslims worldwide.

Merkel says she sees "good reasons" to forbid a public screening in Germany because it could endanger public security.

The chancellor told reporters on Monday that a total ban on the crudely made movie isn't currently being considered.

Germany on the weekend forbade American Pastor Terry Jones, who sparked Arab world outrage when he burned Qur'ans on the ninth anniversary of the 11 September attacks, from entering the country for a screening.

The fringe far-right political party that invited him says it plans to show the film in Berlin in November and will now invite one of the filmmakers instead.

I thought Islam was the "religion of Peace?" But as an old saying goes, " BY THEIR ACTIONS YOU WILL KNOW THEM!". Ok, so let's get this straight! Its ok to cut peoples heads off, blow your self up with a suicide vest and kill innocent people, blow yourself up with Car bombs, shot, stab, cut off hands, etc, But FFSd don't mock Muhammad who after all said it was ok for me to do all this stuff. Yet another reason I don't believe in any god, religion is wacked
