Rome - A gunman wearing a Halloween witch mask and dressed in a long black cape killed one man and injured two in a shooting in Naples in southern Italy overnight, police said Tuesday.
Investigators found seven bullet casings on the scene of the attack and are waiting to speak to the two injured men in hospital. Police are also examining closed circuit television images for more details.
A fourth person who was there when the shooting began ran away.
The attack took place in front of a Naples football fan club on a side street in the bustling centre of the city, where there are frequent shootings linked to the rampant organised crime syndicate, the Camorra.
The victim was already known to police, and investigators said they were looking into possible links to the mafia and cigarette trafficking.
