Brussels - Two Dutch men, including a Hitler lookalike, have been fined in Belgium for a Nazi tribute they staged at a German military cemetery in Flanders, the press reported on Thursday.
Stefan Wijkamp took part in the ceremony, banned by local authorities, in March 2007 at the Lommel cemetery in northern Belgium where fierce fighting took place in both world wars.
Wijkamp, part of a group of 150-300 other neo-Nazis, had the parted hair and toothbrush moustache distinctive of the leader of the Third Reich.
The group were part of a "Blood and Honour" neo-Nazi outfit and ended their ceremony with a Nazi salute, Le Soir newspaper reported.
On Wednesday a northern court fined Wijkamp and 80-year-old associate Joop Glimmerveen, a far-right Dutch politician, €1 000 each.
According to the court, besides the Nazi tribute, the pair also fomented discrimination and racial hatred aimed at asylum seekers, Turks, Moroccans and homosexuals.
