Iran - no nuclear concessions

2011-11-13 21:51

Berlin - Iranian Foreign Minister Ali Akbar Salehi has said he sees no more room for compromise in the battle over Iran's contested nuclear programme, in an interview published on Sunday.

"I think there's no more point in making additional concessions," he told the German news weekly Der Spiegel.

"The nuclear question is just a pretext to weaken us by all means," he added.

Salehi rejected an International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) report released Tuesday citing "credible" evidence that Iran had worked towards nuclear weapons, saying the Vienna-based agency had given up its "earlier objectivity".

He said IAEA head Yukiya Amano was headed for hard times.

"We will call him and the atomic energy authority to account for these conclusions," he warned.

Iranian officials characterised the IAEA report as "baseless" and owing to intelligence provided by Israel and the United States.

Iran's parliament speaker Ali Larijani warned on Sunday that Iran must review its co-operation with the UN nuclear watchdog due to the hostile nature of the report.

Germany, Europe's biggest exporter to Iran, plans to further limit bilateral trade, a government spokespersion was quoted by Spiegel on Sunday as saying.

"Germany will actively support tougher sanctions against Iran," Steffen Seibert told the news weekly.

The European Union is preparing a new round of sanctions against Iran, but diplomats said the measures would likely not be finalised in time for a meeting of EU foreign ministers on Monday.

Who did expect concessions from this terrorist state? When they enter into negotiations, it is to GAIN concessions and not to compromise. In this respect, they are well schooled by their Russian communist masters. The Iranian regime will only understand one language and the Israelis understand which one.

      Dayaan - 2011-11-14 08:37

The didn't learn from the Russians but from the Zionist terrorist state and the Chief Liar Netanyahu. In a 2001 video, Netanyahu, said: "They asked me before the election if I'd honor [the Oslo accords]... I said I would, but [that] I'm going to interpret the accords in such a way that would allow me to put an end to this galloping forward to the '67 borders. How did we do it? Nobody said what defined military zones were. Defined military zones are security zones; as far as I'm concerned, the entire Jordan Valley is a defined military zone. Go argue."Netanyahu then explained how he conditioned his signing of the 1997 Hebron agreement on American consent that there be no withdrawals from "specified military locations," and insisted he be allowed to specify which areas constituted a "military location" - such as the whole of the Jordan Valley. "Why is that important? Because from that moment on I stopped the Oslo Accords," Netanyahu affirmed. However, this is consistent with Rabin's October 1995 statement to the Knesset on the ratification of the interim Oslo agreement: "The security border of the State of Israel will be located in the Jordan Valley, in the broadest meaning of that term." So when the Zionists enter into negotiations, it is to GAIN concessions and not to compromise. The Zionists will only understand one language and the Iranians understand which one.

The first and most important goal of every Israeli leader is to avoid being the person that makes peace. The second and most difficult goal of every Israeli leader is to appear to support peace while actively avoiding it. Netanyahu is not very good at the second part. There are no "doves" in Israel. They are all colonialist birds of a feather.

      Dirk - 2011-11-14 10:45

Great- in the Mid-East, doves come off second best. Im sure that the international terrorist, Che Guevarra, who you clearly admire, was well known for his pacifism. God bless Israel and its people. In Ezekiel 39 and 40, God clearly tells us what is going to happen to Israels enemies. May that day come soon.

      Barry - 2011-11-14 18:57

@Dirk I am rolling on the floor laughing. Still on your religious ranting I see.

Iranian leaders are smart enough to know that giving nuclear technology will not stop Israel via its proxies to come up with other excuses and threats against Iran. Not as long as there are huge amounts of gas and oil sitting on Iranian subterranean.

      Werner - 2011-11-14 09:05

Nuclear power is bad, mkay... Especialy in the hands of these terrorist Middle eastern countries. Those people who feels so little about others they would blow up shopping malls and use schools as safe houses so they can cry victim if the West extract justice.

      Dayaan - 2011-11-14 09:10

@Werner making broad generalizations such as what you are doing by saying: "these terrorist Middle eastern countries" shows that you have the same mental attitude of those that called Nelson Mandela and the ANC a terrorist and terrorist organization.

      Mthuthuzeli - 2011-11-14 09:34

Why is the west(USA) the moral authority on Nuclear weapons when they are the only ones in world history to ever drop one.....? What terror does the world actually see? The world sees the terror that Israel, protected by Washington, inflicts on the Palestinians. The world sees the terror that the US inflicts on Serbia, Iraq, Afghanistan, Pakistan, Yemen, Somalia, Libya, Latin America and now Africa, with Syria, Lebanon, and Iran waiting in the wings.

      Dirk - 2011-11-14 10:48

Exactly what they are. For the first time you came close to hitting the nail on the head. And many countries recognise them as such and their performance "in government" confirms it.

      Adam - 2011-11-14 11:09

because their country does not oppress people on their way of life or religion. god you are so insanely stupid. america inflicted terror on pakistan and somalia...im pretty sure afghaniatsn problems are caused by fanatical islamists? or is that another zionist conspiracy jesus does anyone take you seriously? i rate theres some palestinian supporters who cringe when they read what you've written!! you are an embaressment to mankind!!!

      Barry - 2011-11-14 18:59

@Adam. Now Now...Mommy has told you, no more insulting. Come on man ! Try debating an issue. You might enjoy it.

Israels record since they were given land in the middle east is little more than atrocious. The bottom line is that the US has spent the last hundred years or so positioning itself to become the masters of the world. this has nothing to do with Iran or nuclear weapons and everything to do with control of oil. Which the US wants to have full control of after the coming pole shift.

      gerhard.nel - 2011-11-14 12:12

Pray tell which oil the US will control? They are not big enough or strong enough to control the worlds oil. Even the cost of the Iarq war is estimated at 2.4 trillion US Dollars. They will never see that money from Iraqi oil because the Iraqi's are selling it to the market.

      Mthuthuzeli - 2011-11-14 12:55

What are the 700+ military bases for? Why is the US so obsessed with establishing a military base in Africa (AFRICOM) for? Gerhad visit, www.Informationclearinghouse.info, you seem to have gotten drunk from the kool aid.

      gerhard.nel - 2011-11-14 13:13

Stop reading conspiracy sites, they make you dumb.

      Mthuthuzeli - 2011-11-14 15:43

I a not a conspiracy theorist, but we will both be branded as such by those who seek to conceal the facts and spin the truths they reveal into lies to protect the great and the good. What are secretive government agencies if not conspiracies? Your consent has been manufactured.
