Gaza City - Palestinian security forces freed three United Nations workers on Monday after they had been kidnapped by masked gunmen in the southern Gaza Strip, said security sources.
The three - a Briton, a Swede and a Palestinian - were released after a team raided a house in Khan Yunis.
A security source said: "The UN workers were freed, but the kidnappers managed to flee and they are currently being pursued."
The group, who worked for the UN agency for Palestinian refugees, had been abducted while driving in a vehicle, which was intercepted and hijacked by the gunmen in the centre of Khan Yunis.
