Beirut - The death toll from Israel's five-day-old offensive against Lebanon topped 100 on Sunday, following the death of a civilian in an air raid near the southern port of Tyre.
Three people were also wounded when the Israeli helicopter opened fire in the village of Deir Qanun al-Nahr, said police.
Two firefighters were wounded in an Israeli strike on Beirut's southern suburbs, a stronghold of the Shi'ite group Hezbollah.
The missile hit the cab of their fire engine close to the international airport, said an AFP correspondent on the scene.
An ambulance was hit in the same area on Saturday night. There was no information on any casualties from that strike.
The latest death brought the overall toll from the Israeli bombardment to 101. Another 271 people have been wounded.
Israel launched its onslaught last Wednesday, after the capture of two of its soldiers in a Hezbollah raid.
