London - Several London Underground lines were back in action early on Friday, a day after blasts ripped through three stations as well as a bus, killing at least 37 people and injuring about 700, an AFP correspondent reported.

Transport for London officials said sniffer dogs and extra police had been drafted in to monitor passenger safety as the network, used daily by three million people, slowly began to return to normal.

Seven of the 12 metro lines were set to resume full service but Transport for London warned there would be "some delay" compared to normal.

"Everything seems normal except for the rubbish at the station, that's the only thing I have noticed. It's all right, said George Mira, 29, who travelled from Gloucester Road in west London to Blackfriars in central London.

"There were definitely fewer people."

Two of the lines affected by the blasts were set to remain closed, officials said.

Bus services, which had gradually resumed Thursday evening, were also largely back to normal.

Fred says... Fidel, the Iranian regime is the aggressor. Everyone on the right side of history knows this. They've been funding international terrorists for decades, threaten to exterminate Israel, deny the occurrence of the holocaust, and lied and cheated their way into power during the last elections. They're on their way out. When this happens, and it will, hopefully the penny will drop, for you and the several other people on this site with strange delusional ideas about who the Iranian regime, distinct from the Iranian people, truly is.
