Cairo - Employees of a Kuwaiti television station say an armed mob stormed their offices and destroyed equipment after the channel aired shows critical of the country's ruling family.
Camera person Fahad al-Rashed says at least 100 people carrying guns and knives broke in Sunday, forcing Scope TV off the air and breaking cameras, computers and other studio equipment.
One of the station's writers, Fajr al-Saeed, says the mob was looking for her and the station's director.
Authorities have questioned her in the past over a comedy show she directs that has angered government supporters with its satires of the ruling family.
Speaking on the Al-Jazeera network, al-Saeed accused a senior Interior Ministry official who is also a member of the ruling Al Sabah family of being behind the attack.
