More clashes on Gaza border
Jerusalem - Israeli media reports say Israeli soldiers have clashed with Palestinians along the border with Gaza.
The reports say troops opened fire on three Palestinians who crossed the heavily guarded border and whom they believed were launching an attack.
Palestinian police say militants on the Gaza side of the border responded with mortar fire and that Israeli helicopters also fired at targets.
There was no word of casualties from the incident after sundown on Monday.
Israel's Channel 10 TV said it was later determined that the three Palestinians who crossed the border were unarmed and apparently planning to look for work in Israel. They were detained.
The Israeli military had no immediate comment.
