Norway avalanche - tourists buried alive
Oslo - Police say six foreign tourists were buried by an avalanche in northern Norway on Monday.
Police attorney Thorstein Skogvang says one of them has been dug out alive, and rescuers are searching for five others.
He says they have received signals from four avalanche transmitters buried in the snow.
Police said that preliminary information suggests the tourists were French and that they were part of a group of 12 people out skiing near Tromsoe on Norway's Arctic coast.
Police and military helicopters were dispatched to the area.
