Washington - A shooting linked to a dispute over a dice game has left one person dead and three others injured at Tennessee State University, police said on Friday.

A pistol was recovered at the scene but no arrests have been made.

The incident took place in the courtyard of the university's centre in Nashville, Tennessee, when an argument over a dice game escalated into a physical fight, local police said.

The man who died was 19 and was not believed to have been a student at the university.

The incident was the latest in a string of recent shootings on US campuses.
