Rawalpindi - President Pervez Musharraf on Monday promised Pakistan would fully
support India's investigation into the weekend bombings in New
Delhi, calling them "the most dastardly terrorist attack".
Indian Prime Minister Manmohan Singh earlier expressed his dismay that those behind the bombings appeared to have external links.
Singh told Musharraf in a telephone conversation that India expected Pakistan to act against terrorism directed at his country.
Musharraf had made the call.
Musharraf told reporters India would get "total and unequivocal
support from Pakistan in any investigation that India would like to
carry out" into Saturday's blasts, which killed 62 people and
wounded another 210.
"Pakistan stands with India," added Musharraf,
who has led a crackdown on Islamic militancy in his country.
The nearly simultaneous attacks on a bus and two crowded markets
were claimed by the little-known Islamic Revolutionary Front, which
Indian officials say has ties to a leading militant group fighting
Indian rule in Kashmir.
