Clamart, France - Palestinian Prime Minister Ahmed Qorei was allowed to see ailing Palestinian leader Yasser Arafat on Tuesday, unconfirmed reports say.
Earlier a spokesperson at Percy Military Training Hospital outside Paris, where Arafat is being treated, said the leader's condition had deteriorated overnight.
"President Yasser Arafat's health worsened in the night," he said.
"His coma, which led to his admission to the intensive care unit, became deeper this morning."
The spokesperson said doctors were withholding a prognosis, but that his deterioration marked "a significant stage".
A source said Qorei had gone into the intensive care unit alone one of Arafat's bodyguards.
"The other Palestinian leaders did not go," the source said.
The group
left the hospital without making a statement.
