Passenger train derails in US, number of injured unknown

New York - A passenger train derailed on Monday in the US state of Vermont, injuring an undetermined number of people, state police told AFP.

"There was a train derailment at 10:30 in Northfield. It was a passenger train," a spokesperson for the Vermont state police said.

"There were an "unknown number of injuries."
