Warsaw - Poland's president-elect Bronislaw Komorowski will be sworn in before parliament next Friday, August 6, before his first foreign visits to Brussels, Paris and Berlin, an aide said Friday.
"Bronislaw Komorowski will be sworn-in August 6 at 08:00 GMT after the Supreme Court approval of the presidential election which is expected on August 3," presidential aide Jacek Michalowski told reporters in Warsaw.
A liberal with political roots in Poland's governing Civic Platform (PO) party, the 58-year-old Komorowski won a July 4 run-off election triggered by the April 10 air crash death of president Lech Kaczynski in Russia.
Komorowski beat the late Kaczynski's twin brother, conservative opposition leader Jaroslaw Kaczynski, by securing 53.01% of the vote.
Shortly after his election Komorowski said he intended to pay his first official visits to Brussels, Paris and Berlin.
