Politician defends health care
Washington - The Senate's top Republican says the US has the best health care in the world and the system doesn't need to be scrapped.
Senator Mitch McConnell says the Democrats' approach ignores what's right with the US system. He says cost and access are challenges, but not enough to justify a complete overhaul.
The Kentucky Republican says the system isn't the most efficient way to provide care for millions of Americans. He says President Barack Obama's plan would be the same as government takeover - and that would lead to worse care.
