Putin vows vengeance for airport blast
Moscow - Russian Prime Minister Vladimir Putin vowed on Tuesday to avenge the Moscow airport bombing that killed 35 people, saying that "retribution is inevitable".
"I have no doubt that the crime will be uncovered and that retribution is inevitable," Interfax quoted Russia's de-facto leader and former president as telling a government meeting.
Putin called Monday's Domodedovo airport bomb blast, which investigators have linked to militants from Russia's predominantly Muslim North Caucasus region, a "brutal and senseless crime".
Russia's powerful prime minister had stayed out of the limelight since the Monday afternoon blast, with President Dmitry Medvedev making a series of televised addresses to the nation that blamed airport security breaches for the attack.
