Sharon 'dangerous' for Israel

Tel Aviv - Right-wing Jewish extremists have begun hanging up posters in Jerusalem, depicting Israeli Premier Ariel Sharon wearing a kaffiyeh or Arab headdress.
The Israeli Ma'ariv daily reported on Thursday that the action was initiated by Baruch Marzel, a Jewish fanatic opposed to Sharon's plan to withdraw from the Gaza Strip in August.
Similar posters showing former premier Yitzhak Rabin in Arab headdress were distributed before his assassination a decade ago and many Israeli commentators blamed "incitement" for creating the militant atmosphere that led up to the murder.
Ma'ariv quoted Marzel as saying: "Sharon is more dangerous for the country than Rabin and late Palestinian president Yasser Arafat together."
The Israeli premier wants to evacuate 25 Jewish settlements in the Gaza Strip and the northern West Bank, starting mid-August.
