Ship 'accident' off Bahrain

Cairo - A US navy spokesperson said on Thursday that American divers and helicopters were headed to site of a "ship accident" in the Gulf off Bahrain's coast.

The spokesperson had no other details, but regional television stations reported scores of ambulances and police vehicles rushing to Bahrain's Muharraq port.

They did not identify the ship, but said there were casualties.
