Typhoon deaths rise to 115

Shanghai - China's death toll from Typhoon Rananim rose to 115 late on Friday, after the most powerful storm of the season slammed into the country's south-eastern coast, state television reported. At least 1 l800 people were reported injured.
Another 16 people were missing in Zhejiang province, south of Shanghai, where the storm roared ashore late on Thursday, China Central Television said.
Millions of people lost water, and phone service and electricity in the major city of Taizhou was knocked out, various reports said.
Many of the injuries were caused by collapsing homes, they said.
