UK girl gets pregnant at 11

London - A schoolgirl who became pregnant at the age of 11 is to become Britain's youngest mother, The Sun newspaper reported on Friday.
The girl, who cannot be identified because of her age, lives near the Scottish capital Edinburgh. She became pregnant after losing her virginity to a boy of 15 during a boozy one-night stand, the newspaper said.
"I didn't think I'd get pregnant because it was my first time. But I'm really excited and looking forward to being a mum," she was quoted as saying.
The girl is now 12 and is said to be weeks away from giving birth. She reportedly found out she was pregnant days after her 34-year-old mother gave birth to a baby boy, who will now become her own child's uncle.
The youngest person in Britain to give birth was aged 12 years and nine months when she had a baby in south-west England in 1997.
