UK police arrest 12 on child sex charges
London - Police in Oxford say they have arrested a dozen men for allegedly raping and trafficking girls aged 11 to 16.
The Thames Valley force executed arrest warrants in an operation targeting child exploitation offenses.
Police said the suspects are between 21 and 37 years old.
Detective Superintendent Rob Mason said on Thursday that the organised crime group has been running a business of selling young girls for sex. He says the force has also identified a number of suspected customers.
The offenses are believed to have spanned a six-year period.
