US closing in on bin Laden

Washington - Al-Qaeda leader Osama bin Laden is running out of places where he can elude the international dragnet seeking to apprehend him a top US military official said on Sunday.
"We track down every lead. There are people in this government and other governments dedicated to finding him.
"I think it's just a matter of time before we do," Joint Chiefs of Staff chairperson Richard Myers said.
"Based on that, his options for hiding become less and less as we gain more and more intelligence," Myers said.
Myers said bin Laden's whereabouts eventually would be uncovered, in much the way US intelligence succeeded in locating deposed Iraqi President Saddam Hussein in Iraq last week.
"I think people, like we found Saddam Hussein, it was capture of an individual that finally one individual was able to lead us pretty close," Myers said.
"As we keep working the trail, like any good detective work for intel work, one lead goes to the next lead to the next lead," he said adding that he was "confident" bin Laden will be captured.
