US shooter killed parents as well - reports

New York - The gunman who slaughtered staff and children at a US elementary school on Friday was 20-year-old Adam Lanza, who also killed his parents, US media reported.

According to US news networks, Lanza killed his father at home before driving to the school and killing his mother, who worked there, along with many of her young students.

Police did not immediately confirm details of the attack.

CNN has reported that the brother of the suspected shooter has also been found dead in New Jersey.

*US police have clarified that Adam Lanza is the alleged suspect, and that Ryan Lanza, the suspect's brother, earlier named as the shooter, is being questioned by officials.
