US to face more horror attacks

London - An audio tape recording said to be by a member of Osama bin Laden's al-Qaeda network has promised more terror attacks against the US.

According to Sky News the tape, dated September 3, has been broadcast on Arabic television channel Al Arabiya.

According to the recording there will be more attacks against Americans around the world. There is also a denial about any links to the killing of a Shi'ite Muslim cleric in Iraq.

"We announce there will be new attacks inside and outside which would make America forget September 11," said an al Qaeda spokesperson.

Reports hinted that al-Qaeda was behind an August car bomb attack that killed top Shi'ite cleric Mohammed Baqer al-Hakim and 83 others in the Iraqi holy city of Najaf.
