Vengeful al-Qaeda confirms bin Laden death

2011-05-06 14:55

Dubai - Al-Qaeda confirmed the death of its leader Osama bin Laden which it threatened to avenge, in a statement posted on jihadist internet forums on Friday, the US monitoring group SITE Intelligence reported.

"We in al-Qaeda organisation pledge to Allah the almighty and ask his help, support and steadfastness to continue on the path of jihad, the path walked upon by our leaders, and on top of them, Sheikh Osama," SITE said, quoting the statement.

"We also stress that the blood of the mujahid Sheikh Osama bin Laden, may Allah have mercy upon him, weighs more to us and is more precious to us and to every Muslim than to be wasted in vain," it said.

"We call upon our Muslim people in Pakistan, on whose land Sheikh Osama was killed, to rise up and revolt to cleanse this shame that has been attached to them by a clique of traitors and thieves who sold everything to the enemies.

"(We call upon them) to rise up strongly and in general to cleanse their country (Pakistan) from the filth of the Americans who spread corruption in it," said the statement.

The statement came after US President Barack Obama said that American commandos killed bin Laden on Sunday in a covert operation in the Pakistani garrison town of Abbottabad.

    very emotive stuff

      Sam - 2011-05-06 15:37

Aaaah please...these so called terrorists are all talk and no action. They are a depleted force and cannot take on the might of the Americans and Europeans. What they are doing instead is making more enemies and making the West more determined to kill them off.

      Paco7 - 2011-05-06 15:49

all doctored by the american media to cause more hype and fear amongst it's millions of ignorant civilians who still think their precious country is under threat of being blown away by so called fundamentalists and the all wise Obama is going to save them again as he has defeated the evil anti-christ Osama, the movie will be out in December

      wesleywt - 2011-05-06 15:52

Bah AQ is just a CIA front. Bin Laden is alive, with Tupac and Biggy.

      Gatvol - 2011-05-06 16:13

@paco7 what would your advice have been to New Yorkers on the 10th September 2011. Hey Americans, sit and chill this Bin Laden is nothing to worry about?

      Brendon - 2011-05-06 16:41

Some adhoc recommended reading for this article

slg - 2011-05-06 17:27 is your idea of a credible source? No wonder. Leave us alone Brendon.

      slg - 2011-05-06 18:14

Paco, the ignorance is yours, dangerously ignorant. You're looking in the mirror and not realizing it. Look through your ignorance and you'll see what is really going on.

      pepperment - 2011-05-07 11:45

Up to now the were very lame, but with the help of the USA and Europe who will use them like they did used the name of Osama, only to establish a world order! For some reason they cannot do it without the help of these muslim barbarians!

I fear what's coming... World War III

      YourNightmare - 2011-05-06 15:09

we are safe in sunny south africa.... It would be great if these nations destroy each other in a world war... South africa will be looking pretty in that situation

      DeonL - 2011-05-06 15:13

Not yet, world wars are fought between countries, these terrorists don't have many countries backing them, maybe Lybya but they have theire own problems.

      slg - 2011-05-06 15:15

Your nightmare, that's for sure, and all of ours. Do you even understand what you're saying?

      Jackster - 2011-05-06 15:21

@ yournightmare how will it be good if other nations destroy each other. petrol prices will rise more and trade will be greatly affected leaving import costs sky high and if you still get any of those products they will be massively expensive. think before you speak...

      Spyker May - 2011-05-06 15:42

@YourNightmare, Perhaps you should have said “...we are safe in FUNNY south africa...”. Be aware that “YourNightmare” does not dawn (pun alert!) on you when SA indeed turns out to be the fulcrum of the front-line of WW3 – think a bit dude, it will be a resource intensive war.., plus, Africa is (strategically) a near perfect East-West dividing line. Few realise that WW2’s definitive “turn-around” happened in Africa. @DeonL, That is what they said about the Nazi’s... The question that remains unanswered and may yet prove pivotal: did Pakistan indeed back al-Qaeda – clandestinely or otherwise..?

      greatgodpan - 2011-05-06 15:56

How much more vengeful and hateful can they get? The Spineless scum, using women and CHildren as both Bombers and victims. Since 9/11 they have reached their sell by date and I hope there is a seal team coming their way soon. It will be the first nd only time these guys faced real danger in their scummy lives.

      slg - 2011-05-06 15:05

Slapper you need a slap to wake you up,think hard of all the SCUMMY and SPINELESS things you did in your life, now how does that feel, prove to EVERYONE that Osama was involved in the tragic event of 911 andwe might pay attention to what you say.

      Slapper - 2011-05-06 15:16

@Cyberfriend. Your surely joking? or are you a conspiracy theorist? Obama Trained the lot of them, He led them, financed them and when the heat came on, he bolted like a Rabbit. I dont believe anyone on Earth did as much damage to the World since Adolf Hitler. The World and particularly the Muslim community are better of without him and his savage Killers. As for my Scummyness? Well, I served my country and I believe that I did it well. What about you?

      Valis - 2011-05-06 15:40

@Slapper: No, you're wrong. It wasn't "Obama" that trained and financed them, lol. But jokes aside, it was Bush Sr. that trained and financed them when he was head of the CIA back in the 80s.

      Slapper - 2011-05-06 15:59

Yeah sorry I meant Osama, but you are right, Bush armed the lot of them to fight the Russians and it backfired big time, but what else could you expect from a Bush? Sorry Barak, I didnt mean that you were a Terrorist.....or are you?

      clark - 2011-05-06 16:15

      - And just yesterday, on another posting concerning the purported 'gloating' by Americans, there were cries of foul by the liberals in our society. They would have us believe that these scumbags have got rights. They will of course now argue that the threatened revenge is retaliation for bin Laden's death. They don't understand that you're not dealing with rational people here. They are radical terrorists that only deal in death and destruction.

      slg - 2011-05-07 17:39

No Aa gone, that is not correct. Car bombs and suicide attacks are by far the greatest cause of death and maiming, and they are done by Al-Quaeda and the Taliban who believe they have a right to dictate to all of us how we must live our lives. They want to control our lives in the name of their distorted version of Allah. It's not the true Allah their version that allows them to do whatever they want at the expiate of everyone else.

This comes from a US Monitoring group aka CIA. Convenience does not begin to describe it. This is just too much. Why would al-Qaeda help Obama who is under pressure to reveal the tapes? By confirming his death, this actually benefits Obama. It requires suspension of logic to believe this stuff

      slg - 2011-05-06 15:22

      lenand40 - 2011-05-06 15:26

@slg. Your lack of intellect is clouding your ability to see through bull. consider these known facts. Robin Cook, the former foreign secretary in the Blair government revealed that al-Qaeda did not exists as an organisation. It is a database of Muslim states and jihadists (intranet). Cook died shortly after. A French spy confirmed working with this database and guess where he is now? in jail. So, when you gain the ability to engage in a conversation instead of on liner, do some research and then think for yourself instead of following what you are being told.

      slg - 2011-05-06 15:32

Lenand, whether it's an organization with a physical structure or a virtual organization doesn't matter. It's still an organization that wants to end civilization as we know it and stone your wife if you have one. What books are you reading and movies are you watching that you're arriving at these fantastic and illogical conclusions?

Brendon is correct in stating that Al Qaeda and Binnie are a CIA creation. Please people know your history before you critisize. The CIA funded, trained and equipped the mujahadin in Afganistan to counter the Soveit threat, this is a well known fact. Now Al Qaeda has simply come back to bite them and the rest of us in the ass.

Roughneck - see comment for Brendon!

      Brendon - 2011-05-06 16:23

@ Andy, 1. more hype revolving around a vengeful Al Qaeda, 2. an attack taking place in either the US or Europe which will be blamed on Al Qaeda and which most people will believe in after hearing all the news coverage about a vengeful AQ. 3. Continued presence of troops in Iraq, Afghan, Libya, Pakistan, a push towards Syria. 4. Divide and upset the middle east. 5. hightened police states around the world 6. More liberties taken away from people, more control of human movements, cut backs on benefits, higher taxes. Just keep people afraid and you can do what you like.

      so agree with you brendon

      Olavin - 2011-05-07 16:22

The CIA funded and trained the mujahideen to help defeat the Russians. The CIA used a communication database created in 1980 of all international mujahideen and arms smugglers they had. In early 1980s specific files on the database were called al-qaeda. All this before the group we know today as al-Qaeda was formed in 1988. Bin Laden only started calling it al-Qaeda himself after the 911 attacks because that's what the Amercans called the group. I also find it highly strange that al-Qaeda are calling for revenge on the USA while working with them and receiving funding in Libya to defeat Gaddafi.

The Quran forbids the killing of Muslims - of which "Sheik Osama" is guilty. Such hypocrits these people! The leaders of these organisations are just as corrupt and greedy as the "infidels" they've declared Jihad on.

      Zee - 2011-05-06 15:31

      Precisely! Excellently said JT!

      2sense - 2011-05-06 15:41

Muslims are prohibited to kill not only muslims but any other innocent person of any religion. . Im still sceptical about this whole thing. I just read on another news website, that America now states that there was a period of about 25min during the operation which the white house did not know what was happening (due to a blackout of some kind)- Lies after lies. I agree 100% with Brendon's comment above, America are simply setting the stage for a false flag operation.

      grimbie1 - 2011-05-06 16:00

Jt the killing of Muslims i hear your argument but they dont see it like that from what i understand. they see the impuraties of the muslim faith a problem, so like for instance if they were to walk down the street and see a lady talking with say another man or even walking with another say black lady they are going aainst the old word of the muslim faith. So its not that they just want to kill muslims but cleanse the faith of the impuraties and this is where they get the radicle motivation from. Its the relgion they follow that needs to be updated. Just from my understanding.

      2sense - 2011-05-06 16:06

Lol - its shocking to see how little some people know about islam. Islam does not say anything about a lady talking to a black lady lol. In fact, from my understanding, and iv studied islam - the 1st person to ever call out the athan (call to prayer) in the time of Prophet Muhammed, was a BLACK MAN.

      Ubatha - 2011-05-06 16:20

the problem is not that the religion needs to be updated, it is that the people is not following Islam as they are supposed to. If they did, there would be peace. Instead, it is the ideoligies of the West that has corrupted people - lets not forget who created Bin Laden (CIA)

      grimbie1 - 2011-05-06 16:58

@2sense.. you surely didnt understand what i was saying or maybe i just didnt expalin clearly..that is an example, i could have used any other race, creed or anything. Its the impuraty of the perception i was aiming at getting accros not if it was black or white. I actually dated a girl who comes from Pakistan and it was really interesting talking to her about how things are in the area.

      Psalm - 2011-05-06 17:28

@ JT That's putting it simplistically. 1. many Sunnis consider Shias to be infidels. Many Shias consider Sunnis to be infidels. Many Sunnis and Shias consider Ahmadiyya to be infidels. That's only the tip of the iceberg and we already have many potential infidels there within the "Ummah"; 2. Some reject anything practice they consider "new additions" and call those who engage in such practices infidels; 3. the MCB in UK recently stated that muslim women rejecting niqab is tatamount to rejecting Islam (i.e. infidel); 4. there are "koran-only" muslims (meaning they reject Sunna). Many consider these infidels; 5. Wahabbist, Salafist, etc may also have specific definition of the term "muslim" - it is usually very narrow; etc Result: Sunnis kill Shia, Shia kill Sunnis, Sunnis kill Ahmadiyya, Shia kill Ahmadiyya, Taliban kill women who do not wear burqa, Wahabbists kill westernised muslims and many of the aforementioned will kill a koran-only muslim and a Sufi. In the midst of this there is also brutal principle applied by AQ and others: if a true muslim is killed during a terror attack, the terrorist has merely acted in getting the devotee to allah. This is also coupled with the fatalistic principle common in Islam - allah willed the death of the devotee. We're now back at square one: Sunnis kill Shias, Shias kill Sunnis, etc....

      Zee - 2011-05-07 10:03

@Pslam - most of the radicals reside in Pakistan, Afghanistan, and because of the immigrants from those countries heading to the UK it has appeared there as well. It doesn't happen in SA, Shias and Sunnis do not fued here. My point is there are hundreds of millions of moderate Muslims world-wide who do not support the extreme views of these people but yet some people still choose to blanket-blame the entire religion. Are all Catholics paedophiles? Are all Jews money-mongerers? Sucks to generalise.

      G0ldf!nger - 2011-05-07 11:10

If I went along with JT's logic, then it would be fair to assume that all Jews want their interest-laden money paid back in a pound of flesh and are human rights abusers of the worst order, all Hindus are into devoting their bodies to God by inflicting pain and piercing themselves, all Catholic priests are child molesters and peadophiles, and all Bhuddists are peace-loving chanting monks. The truth is that more people have been killed in the name of religion than any other cause, and until we reach a stage of understanding that 'each to his own and tolerance for all' means we should stop forcing our beliefs on others, we will never attain harmony. There are fundamentalists and crazies in every religion. Hitler wasn't a Muslim, neither were the Crusaders, Mugabe's not a Jew, Netanyahu's not a Christian, and Osama wasn't a Bhuddist. Thousands have died under their names, but we should put the individual on trial. Not generalize on his religion. Remember Timothy McVei? The religion of Islam went on trial until he was found to be the bomber, then suddenly the religion was no longer on trial, only the individual. I don't believe any religion is without fault. I also don't believe religion is for everybody. But I do believe that there is a media agenda to smear certain religions with negativity.

      Psalm - 2011-05-07 11:48

@ Zee With respect, you're talking pure nonsense. Indonesia is the most populous muslim nation - it does not export attacks against Ahmadiyya to UK. They occur in Indonesia. The Shia in Iran also do not need to export some Shia to UK to kill Sunnis, they take of this in Iran. The bombing of Sunni mosques and Shia mosques occurs in muslim countries. So, what has UK got to do with this? You keep spreading Kool-Aid fiction and misrepresentation on this topic on this forum. The Taliban kill women in Afghanistan- they don't need to run to the UK to do so. Furthermore, I am yet to hear any Catholic call peadopholia a religious denomination. So your analogy is irrelevant here. Your comments about Catholics and Jews reveal your issues.

  • lenand40 - 2011-05-06 15:15

Very convenient indeed. Oddly, There is no group called al-Qaeda. Odd that they would do the job of the American president, whose reputation suffered as a result of his failure to release the tapes. Two conveniences in two days. Lucky Obama

      slg - 2011-05-06 15:23

Odd that you would think this, very odd. Geez, what are you thinking man! Wake up!

      lenand40 - 2011-05-06 15:30

@slg and Rumsfeld. If you were to engage your brain once in a while and offer intelligent debate instead of the insults and one liners, perhaps you would seem intelligent. Right now, you do not.

      matthew.mcnulty - 2011-05-06 15:39

There is no group called Al-Qaeda? Really? What would you call it then?

So, if you were in a gang and your leader was killed, you would just walk away and not pledge some sort of revenge? If they didn't respond it would show they are weak, and no gang/terrorist group wants that! Get back to your playstation man, those bad guy's wont kill themselves.

      Cire - 2011-05-06 16:16

      lenand40 - 2011-05-06 23:04

Al-QAEDA is Arab colloquial term for toilet. It basically is the database that Tim Osman used to converse with his handlers. It means BASE. binLaden's power was given to him by the US. They created a weakling and sick guy and made him up to be some kind of super hero with criptonite.

  • Bill - 2011-05-06 15:21

Maybe now this will satisfy all the conspiracy theorists on this site, that have had much to say about him not being killed!

      slg - 2011-05-06 15:28

They're still coming out, which is a good thing. At least they're reading this. Maybe the penny will drop and they won't be in so much danger, and be putting us all in danger with them.

      lenand40 - 2011-05-06 15:28

Being a conspiracy theorist, you tend not to believe in convenient co-incidences. Can you imagine, an organisation that does not exists is tracked by a US Monitoring group discussing in a nameless forum (a link would help, though they can create this conversation easily) just in time to assist Obama not have to release the video of the operation in Pakistan? Really!!!

      slg - 2011-05-06 15:34

Being a conspiracy theorist you tend to be detached from reality and live on the fringes of society, a danger to yourself and everyone else.

      Brendon - 2011-05-06 15:35

He's been dead for years already, this has been set up to get people thinking about the evil Al qaeda again and why more war must continue. Al Qaeda is the CIA. The dollar is plunging, they need a war! This is classical psy ops. Get the sheep looking the wrong direction, and they can do anything, they just need your support.

      Brad - 2011-05-06 15:35

The most simple explanation is most likely the correct one. Osama is dead.

      Darkwing - 2011-05-06 16:01

Occam's razor doesn't say the simplest explanation is most likely the correct one. It says: The simplest explanation that accounts for all the facts is most likely the correct. The simplest explanation is only satisfying to the simple-minded, reality is just as complex as reality is, no less.

      Ubatha - 2011-05-06 16:22

Legally - this is referred to as heresay evidence and is not accepted in any court. Why are people so easily fooled.

      DeonL - 2011-05-06 16:39

If Osama died in 2001 who is on the tapes between 2001 and last week?

      slg - 2011-05-06 17:36

Brendon, this is not a psyfi movie buddy. Why don't you take a trip to Waziristan, check it out, and come baxk and tell us how it went? Take some female friends with you. They're sure to snap you out of your delusional slumber when they are at threat of being stoned by the Taliban because they don't have their burka's on.

      slg - 2011-05-06 17:55

Ubatha, except that the Seals who actually pulled the trigger are bei debriefed as we speak. Plus Osama's wife has spilled the beans. There's no hearsay.

      Brendon - 2011-05-06 18:58

@ slg, ooo the Taliban, they have turbans on their head, theyre so scary, lets spend millions of dollars and kill millions of people to wipe them out. Why dont you focus on the real evils in the world instead. GMO's, flouride in the water, codex alimentarius, Monsanto, banks seizing property, falling standards of living, liberties being taken away, the list goes on, but no, youre so desperate for an enemy because it makes you feel better at night.

      matthew.mcnulty - 2011-05-06 19:00

@Darkwing sure you have a point, but who here has all the facts? I can be assured its not you, nor me. Unless your real name is Barrack. For all intents and purposes Osama is dead. If he is in some detention hole in Kentucky it still makes no difference to the reality that Osama won't be bothering us anymore, in corporeal form at least.

      Ubatha - 2011-05-06 19:04

@slg - what you on about. my statement refers purely to this article. It is not Al Qaueda that released this statement. It is a third party, an Amaerican organisation called SITE Intelligence that are making these statements - that is HEARSAY

      slg - 2011-05-06 20:23

As I said Brendon, take a trip there, soak it in, take your family, come back tell us how it went.

      slg - 2011-05-06 20:25

Ubatah, you extended your argument beyond the article by saying we're being fooled. That's what I'm on about. :)

      slg - 2011-05-06 22:01

Brad, and your source is! Funny. Get up from your chair, go to the bathroom, look in the mirror, slap your face rapidly three times, splash water on it, go back to your computer, delete all the crap from your bookmarks, add and for starters (not that they're perfect, but at least there's truth in what they say). Meditate daily to cleanse your mind of all the garbage you've put there.

      slg - 2011-05-07 17:58

Don't listen to these delusional people everyone, they don't know what they're talking about. The DVD "Fighting for Bin Laden" is good. I think you can watch it online.

  • ChiJuicy - 2011-05-06 15:26

You are right .....Mugabe and the whiteman joined forces and apartheid had something to do with it too... Jihad means(among Muslims) A war or struggle against unbelievers. 2. The spiritual struggle within oneself against sin It looks like the Americans will soon be in trouble.....again....

      Mulciber - 2011-05-06 15:41

You are right about jihad being a war of Muslims against infidels (unbelievers). I wonder how many people know what jihad means.

Aaah Islam, religion of peace... pffft!

      gees-hey - 2011-05-06 15:35

Before declaring an illegal war on Iraq, CNN cameras follow him into a church. Should we think any less of Christianity?

      grimbie1 - 2011-05-06 16:09

straight agreed with gees-hey .. please go learn about islam before you post idiotic crap like that. Is the extreamists that are the problem, if that be christian or islam or bhudist.. really think a bit. - 2011-05-06 18:19

gees-hey : whats there to learn about Islam - 1. That u cant tolerate other religions (can't build churches, temples in Saudi Arabia etc) 2. Being violent and aggressive is accepted (look at the news happening is Islamic countries around the world) 3. You'll get 72 virgins in paradise if you kill non-muslims (9/11 bombers thought this) 4. That muslims will publicly condemn violence but secretly support Bin Laden and other muslim terrorists! (look at the facebook forums frequented by local SA muslims and see the comments)

      aa gone - 2011-05-07 06:31

ryan stop being so ignorant. wake up. take a english version of koran, read it, study it and then comment. dont blame the religion for the action of some of its followers.1.8 billion muslims, even a million radicals dont represent the majority. american and western forces have killed more civilians with bombings than al-qaeda. so is christianity a religion of violence. i dont think so

      Zee - 2011-05-07 10:11

yes Gonny, because the terrorist did it then it must mean all Muslims will do it! What a retarded view. It's like saying "oh look, there's the pope - hide all your little boys before they get abused!!". You are just ignorant and have a clear hatred for anything Muslim. Ps. You also cannot build a mosque in the Vatican. And the 72 virgins for killing a non-Muslim is complete twaddle. Go educate yourself about the religion forst before making inflammatory statements that only serve to stir the pot. Clearly that is what you're trying to do here. - 2011-05-07 15:56

Zee - i dont have a hatred for Muslims - I believe in humanity not religous Bullsh*t where women are denied education, no freedoms for the masses, no technology - I go by the actions of muslims in the world - they are quick to condemn Americans but who saved MILLIONS OF MUSLIMS IN BOSNIA?? WHO WHO WHO??? Muslims clearly forget it was the USA!!! SO you stop your BS rantings - no one cares about the pope - he never abused kids it was the priests - if you want to go on that subject of abuse please tell us the age of your prophets first wife - how old was he and how old was she? - 2011-05-07 15:58

@ Zee - if the vatican had space for mosque I guess you could build one legally and no one would kill or bomb u for doing it. The vatican is only literally 0.44km squared! hardly a country! Christians, Hindus and Buddhists are not even allowed in Saudi Arabia MEcca! Muslims are allowed in the Vatican !

  • Amien Isaacs - 2011-05-06 15:31

Amien babble on like a man on tik, go get help you idiot!!! - 2011-05-06 18:22

@Amien Isaacs - do you know there are Americans that are muslims? Why would americans want to kill Muslims? Nothing great about them except the violent nature and intolerance towards anyone non-muslim - even the koran refers to non muslims as INFIDELS! Before you even start with the OIL greed BS - theres oil in South American countries and northern europe you dont see americans killing people there do u? you know why? Cos those people didnt try and kill INNOCENT citizens of ALL Religions on 9/11!!

      Psalm - 2011-05-06 19:53

@ Amien Isaacs "Islam teaches us the complete opposite of whatever they doing i.e killing innocent people" Just to make sure that we're all on the same page...Please define "innocent people" for us. This is relevant as, technically speaking, Islam calls for the killing of apostates. So, if YOUR definition of "innocent person" is based on Islam's approach, then you must accept that AQ can kill those they deem to be "apostates". I could go on - but it is not necessary. Non-muslims have an ENTIRELY different definition of "innocent people".

      aa gone - 2011-05-07 06:37

brother amien, the truth will eventually conquer. those who call you a fool will eventually face the truth. west cries foul when civilians killed but thousands of iraqis., afghans and now pakistanis killed by american forces , most are civilians. - 2011-05-07 16:09

@aa gone (off your head ?)- yeah God didnt save Bin Laden or Saddam so what makes you think he is going to sav Brother Amien Isaacs? Quit your religious BS - u wanna blame the AMericans for everyting - who saved the MUSLIMS in BOSNIA from Slaughter????? Do u know what the Bosnian war was about - the AMERICANS SAVED MUSLIMS and sent millions of dollars of aid ! Where was your mujahideen then???? Americans had to come out and save the brave muslims from slaughter! What do muslims do ??? They kill americans and continue to plot against them ! I got nothing against muslims - I do have something against sick twisted people who consider people that dont follow the same faith as 3rd class citizens or INFIDELS! Where Americans killing anyone in Afghanistan or Iraq before 9/11??? Your sick twisted people started this war so dont complain ! The americans landed in Iraq in 1990s at the request of Saudi Arabia because Saddam wante to invade Saudi and Kuwait - read history before you talk BULLSH-T! The americans were based in SAUDI ARABIA who ALLOWED THEM to protect the countrry from Saddam!

The sad part about these guys is that they believe this guy Allah actually exists - not unlike the Christians who believe that God exists. If they did so exist, and were compassionate, surely Allah and God could duke it out in the otherworld and leave us to live in peace ? Why have us lowly minnions fighting their somewhat dubious righteous war at a terrestrial level ? But then again, what could they possibly be fighting for, as they have foresworn things material ? Begin to think that these gods are invented by man for their own personal agenda.

"A holy war undertaken as a sacred duty by Muslims". That is absolutely correct, but incomplete. It should be: A holy war undertaken as a sacred duty by Muslims against unbelievers (all non-Muslims).

Bit of a poke in the eye for all the conspiracy and anti-American nuts who refused to believe that bin laden was dead (remember - 'something fishy here') unless the Navy SEALS visited them personally with a video tape and a sheaf of photographs. Do I hear any shame-faced retractions?

      Brendon - 2011-05-06 16:34

No, because he's been dead for years.

      Cire - 2011-05-06 16:38

And where did you find out about this?

      Brendon - 2011-05-06 16:57

@ Cire Benazhir Bhutto, Madelein Albright, and the supposed fact that a 'highly dangerous' man who pulled off a huge complex 9/11 attack never raised his finger once in the ten years afterwards. Or the fact that it took the biggest military in the world with all their intelligence 10 years to find a guy who just happened to be living in a mansion in a residential area.

      slg - 2011-05-06 17:39

Madeline Albright, the outstanding and highly respected former US Secretary of State said nothing of the sort you delusional fool.

      Brendon - 2011-05-06 18:48

Slg, yeah in your mind,USA defeated Hitler, Oswald killed JFK, The Gulf of Tonkin was real, and Iraq had WMD's.

      slg - 2011-05-06 20:27

It's actually your mind that's a concern right now, Brendon. You're being delusional in a big way.

  • Molop - 2011-05-06 16:11

USA is worst terroist that has , through its unilateral decisions brought pain and terror to its citezen .if the truth is to be told , there is no single innocent Ameican who was killed by what America regards as Osama 's reign of terror, only accomplises who sanctioned American foreign policy which has angered many people across the globe . It was through Americans votes that brought into being , the existince of Bush , Clinton , Bush , obama administrations , making themselves accomplices to all atrocities commited by this administration in foreeign soil , including , detention without trial of millions of innocent people in quatanomo bay , alledge rendiiton , Abu Graib abuses and slaughter of innocent civilians Aghanistan, Iraq, etc , supporting assination and couptat in Countries like Venuazela etc Americans and the so called liberal democrats are nothing but idiots with selective understand of democracy and social justice that they claim to love , by electing and sanctioning the invasion and killing of of American Enemies by their their administration. they unwittingly declared war as country , through their elected representative in the form of President Obama against those who disagree with them as country , not Obama as President , after all Obama is peaking on behalf of American people as he fondly like to say . The is no innocent person in country that declare on another country , groups or person etc.

      Cire - 2011-05-06 16:37

Sorry but this is a load of complete rubbish - have you been drinking?

      slg - 2011-05-06 17:41

Are these thoughts going around in your head? Clear them up man, they're going to kill you.

  • tommo - 2011-05-06 16:17

Oh no, what are the conspiracy twats going to make of this?? Al-Qaeda are really CIA operatives, who are colluding with the US to pretend he's dead!!? To all those doubting he's a dead man, better think again.

      2sense - 2011-05-06 16:29

Apply your mind tommo, have u considered that maybe the Americans are making up this story and that no Al Qaeda has ever written anything like this in the 1st place. . . I doubt Al Qaeda would ever post something on the internet. . .Maybe Al Qaeeda have their own blogs, maybe we could'v followed Bin Laden on twitter. Cmon people, think out of the box. Its all lies.

      tommo - 2011-05-06 16:45

All lies! Yes, I've been convinced, who would use the internet?? Certainly not jihadists, like Al_Qaeda. They eat mud and live in caves. Those terrorists who flew the planes into buildings may have learned how to control a 750 ton jet airplane, but using a mouse and posting messages on a website is just too much. It all fits together now, the penny has finally dropped, these messages are really from that sinister fellow Darth Obama.

      slg - 2011-05-06 17:59

2sense, we have considered this and rejected it out of hand.

  • MadMatt_88 - 2011-05-06 16:24

      You're being a dog saltandpepa.

      Zee - 2011-05-07 10:19

Beautiful language Russel, you're a true diamond in the rough!

  • Gavin - 2011-05-06 17:12

As far as I know Bin Laden is a Saudi and not from Pakistan and the language spoken there and there culture is completely different. Why did Pakistan harbour Bin Laden then?

      slg - 2011-05-06 17:46

It's unlikely that the leadership harbored him, but theree are strong AQ and Taliban presences in the government. The leadership is moving the country away from AQ and the Taliban, which these organizations don't like and are killing thousands of Pakistanis as a result.

  • Kobus - 2011-05-06 17:29

I would strongly suggest that the US/Europe disregard all the non-believers and conspiracy theorists who automatically disbelieve any official story line and present as "proof" everything they read on the Internet. Whether Bin Laden was supported by the US previously is not important; what counts is the here and now. That is, in our time he became enemy number one....and for that he received justice. The US/Europe should relentlessly and mercilessly go after the Al Qaeda succession line, and every other related terrorist entity. Of course the tit-for-tat war against terror is unlikely to stop anytime soon (if ever)....but the US/Europe must remain a few steps ahead. There is no more time to wait for the apologists, anarchists and conspiracy theorists to enter the real world; they won't, and as such should be considered as enemies too if they cross into the line of fire.

      slg - 2011-05-06 18:00

Excellent. Well said. Could not agree more.

      buka001 - 2011-05-06 18:52

Well said. These conspiracy theorists will always find a reason to justify their twisted theories. No form of proof will ever suffice for them. Anything and everything can be faked. Their lack of logic sentences them to a life imprisonment of paranoia, mistrust and fear. Just look at the 911 conspiracies. DNA evidence, structural engineering evidence, radar data, charred body remains, pieces of aircraft all eman nothing because, somehow, someone got 1000's of tons of explosives, 1000's of kilometers of detonation cord into two of the tallest buildings in the world unnoticed, wired it all up, unnoticed, and the detonated it. Why is that so much more believable? Absence of logic!!

      buka001 - 2011-05-06 18:54

SLG, the force is strong with you!! I feel so alone on this website with all these fringe conspiracists who believe any crap spewed by the red necked ignorant american conspiracy theorists. Ahh irony at its best!

      Spoedvark - 2011-05-06 19:10

buka001, read the article I linked below. It basically confirms that, if you are standing behind the door, you will try to find others there as well!

      slg - 2011-05-07 18:08

      Buka, come out and play.

  • Psalm - 2011-05-06 18:13

History is a good teacher, for those who would learn from it. A time may be coming when the West may no longer deem it worthwhile to merely speak of Islamic Terror and waste money on "security measures". Several years ago many would have never imagined politicians openly speaking of curbing Muslim immigration, etc. It seemed difficult to imagine such things. But patience seems to be wearing thin. Not too long ago, a politician called for the destruction of Mecca, the Kabbah, Medina and Al Aksa should terrorists engage in a huge attack. AQ and co keep pushing and they mistake current Western political correctness for permanent weakness. They may get more than they bargained for.

      slg - 2011-05-06 18:27

The freer world will never do that. It goes against our core values.

      Psalm - 2011-05-06 19:29

@ slg The West is "most free" politically. USA, the land of the free, decided to visit Hiroshima, the free world carpet bombed Dresden, etc. I am yet to hear of a nation with respectable military might that has exercised eternal patience in the face of a murderous enemy. If you know of any such "freer" country, please inform me. I assure you, slg, Western countries (which tolerate much even within their own borders in the name of "tolerance, human rights") lack eternal patience.

      Zee - 2011-05-07 10:23

Hiroshima, Nagasaki - the only country to ever use an atomic bomb on a CIVILIAN population. True heroes of the globe.

      Psalm - 2011-05-07 11:54

@ Zee Honestly, Zee, you are either incapable of grasping the points I am raising, or simply never bother to actually READ what is written. Now read again, and try to grasp to issue.

      slg - 2011-05-07 18:11

Zee, it's important to look at the intent behind the actions. Those events were horrific, but the intention was to counterva greater threat to humanity that was truly gaining ascendancy and about to overthrow the freer world.

  • Spoedvark - 2011-05-06 19:08

LOL. Something for the conspiracy nuts to read and ponder (and for the others to chuckle over):

      lenand40 - 2011-05-06 23:11 What you say? Co-incidences?

      Spoedvark - 2011-05-07 03:32

      slg - 2011-05-07 18:11

Don't listen to these delusional people everyone, they don't know what they're talking about. Here is a clean, reliable source on what is really happening in Afghanistan, Western Pakistan and with the fundamentalist Islamic insurgency. It's clean and reliable, non-commercial. The DVD "Fighting for Bin Laden" is good. I think you can watch it online.

  • Gone-4-Good - 2011-05-06 19:12

  • Volker Blok - 2011-05-06 19:13

i heard this on the radio......The usa spent billions, 2 wars, lots of lives lost and where was Bin Laden----in his house.....

  • windreav3r - 2011-05-06 19:51

I find it very funny, yet scary for the world's sake, that most of you think you know better and others are in denial. If The USA were to announce tomorrow they have found unicorn DNA, and every news agency makes it front page news, will you go ahead and believe it just like that? Open up your minds. Maybe Osama has been killed, maybe not, maybe he has been dead years ago, but the announcement sure as hell is a nice way to boost ratings and strengthen the dollar and at the same time instill more fear into the population. But who are we to know the real truth...

  • suj - 2011-05-06 20:10

Lol, hahahahaha..........They confirmed on the internet ???? really, is that our proof these days

      slg - 2011-05-07 04:54

The itnernet is very bog. It depends which part you're talking about. If it's the weird websites that lenand and others are spouting about, you're right. If it's credible news sites, or the Al-Quaeda and Taliban sites themselves, then yes, that is proof, as you say.

  • Blip - 2011-05-06 22:28

The terrorist is dead, and all his followers -- but especially his Egyptian successor -- have great big targets on their chests. The Yanks take few prisoners. They finish the job.

      slg - 2011-05-07 04:52

Dead right. And you know what, they've been fighting for ten years. They're battle-hardened. Al-Quaeda, the Taliban, the tyrants of the Middle East, they stand no-chance. The US is ready. It's waiting for the EU to get its act together, and hoping the Arab League will continue to strengthen its resolve against tyranny, which seems likely with the changes in regimes in the Middle East. Five years from now, you will hardly recognize the world. And these anarchists like Lenand, Paco, Madmatt, Sherwood, Irene, Brendon, et al will have little to say.

      jowza - 2011-05-07 10:43

how many jobs have they finished?

      slg - 2011-05-07 18:12

Can you see it coming from our happy band of conspiracy theorists – especially the anti-USA brigade? They want to see bin Laden's body as proof that the USA in not lying about his death. Al-Qaeda has now come out and said that their leader is dead. What a dilemma? Will they reconcile this information by claiming that the USA and al-Qaeda is cooperating to deceive?

  • Shai-hulud - 2011-05-07 06:18

"we al-Quaede pledge to Satan to kill innocents and indoctrinate the youth with hateful rhetoric and cause fear blah blah blah.." Why don't they build roads and schools and infrastructure and grow food crops and cultivate the land. They just perpetuate hatred.

      slg - 2011-05-07 18:18

Exactly. These are hateful, war mongering, ultra-controlling and oppressive bands of men intent on dominating and ruling the world, which will never happen, but could if we le it.
