Fort Meade - WikiLeaks suspect Bradley Manning was formally charged on Thursday ahead of a court-martial that could see the US soldier sentenced to life in prison.

Manning was charged with 22 counts, the most serious of which is "aiding the enemy," for allegedly turning over a trove of classified US documents to WikiLeaks in one of the most serious intelligence breaches in US history.

Oppression can only survive through silence, to remain silent is almost just as bad as committing the "deed"

What kind of message does this send? The right to information or the right to shut up about what your government is doing?

The more scary thing is that the basis of Democracy has fallen. We the people vote for leaders to be in our government but does that matter. Government should be there to serve the people but instead it is there to serve itself! USA government is a shameful representation of a government! At least (Although bad)South African Government is open to all its criminal activity! Where as the US Government hides and has secret meetings on how to Screw over it's people. The same people that voted them into leadership...oh wait I forgot...that has been tampered with as well! F! Government! Democracy will rise again and who ever stands in the way is going to get EXPOSED for the lies and deceit they breed!
