Montreal - A Quebec woman believed to be the world's oldest person has died at the age of 115, Radio-Canada reported on Friday.
Winnifred Bertrand inherited the title after the death of American Elizabeth Bolden, who was 116, in December.
Bertrand, who once worked as a saleswoman, died on Thursday at 115 years and 124 days, in a Montreal retirement home where she had lived for 35 years.
The world record for the oldest person was set by Frenchwoman Jeanne Calment, who died in 1997 at the age of 122.
